Everclear is a North Carolina certified septic installer based in Statesville. We bring failing drain fields back to work instead of replacing them. Most homeowners call when something is wrong: slow drains, a gurgling toilet, a soggy spot in the yard. That is septic system repair work, and it starts with a look inside the tank.
Everclear was started by Holland Patton, who spent more than 25 years in medical device sales alongside surgeons. That work ran on one idea: prevention and maintenance beat emergency treatment. Septic systems answer to the same idea, so the company was built around it. The name points at the result we are after, which is clear water leaving the tank.
A septic system is two parts, a tank and a drain field. Solids settle in the tank, and the liquid soaks into the soil out in the field. Over the years a black slimy layer called biomat builds on that soil and seals it off. Water stops soaking in, the ground goes soggy, and most homeowners are told to replace the field.
An aeration and bacteria unit goes inside the tank you already own, and a small air pump feeds it oxygen. The bacteria ride out with the effluent and digest the biomat, so the soil takes water again. That is biological drain field restoration, and most installs are finished in a day. After the install the system goes on a service schedule, with the first year of visits included.

Tell us what the system is doing: slow drains, a smell, wet ground or a backup. We set a time to come look.
We open the tank and check levels, scum and sludge, the baffles and the outlet. Then we look at the drain field for wet spots and odor.
We tell you whether biological restoration fits, and whether the tank needs riser access or an effluent filter. If it will not work, we say so and point you to the right contractor.
We call NC 811 to locate utilities before anything is dug. The unit goes in through the tank access opening. The air line is trenched and the pump is set outside.
We come back about 30 days after the install to check the unit and the pump. After that the system stays on a set service schedule.
